Q: DO I NEED A NEW RADIO TO LISTEN TO 4BH DIGITAL RADIO?
Yes. Your existing AM radio set cannot receive the new Digital Radio transmission. New Digital receivers have been manufactured by leading trusted brands including Pure, Roberts, Grundig and more.

Q: I SOMETIMES GET CRACKLING ON MY AM RADIO, WILL THIS HAPPEN ON 4BH DIGITAL?
Digital Radio provides interference free, digital quality stereo sound and your radio will find the best signal in your area rather than you messing around with tuning the dial.

Q: WHERE CAN I PURCHASE A DIGITAL RADIO?
Leading retailers including Clive Peeters; Harvey Norman; WOW Sight & Sound; The Good Guys and Retravision Stores

Digital Radio sets come in all shapes and sizes from portable units to bedside clock radios and home hi-fi units.

Q: HOW DO I RECEIVE DIGITAL RADIO IN MY CAR?
After-market in-car kits are available for digital radio reception. These kits can be mounted just like a GPS and can plug into your existing car radio or sound system. At this stage, digital radio is not available as a "factory option" but the Radio and Car Industries are working towards it.

Q: IS DIGITAL RADIO AVAILABLE EVERYWHERE?
4BH Digital Radio is available in the greater Brisbane, Ipswich, Logan and Redland metropolitan areas.

Q: WILL I BE ABLE TO TELL IF IT'S A DIGITAL RADIO JUST BY LOOKING AT IT?
DAB+ is the Australian standard, so when purchasing a digital radio look for the DAB+ logo.

Q: WILL I PAY TO LISTEN TO DIGITAL RADIO?
Other than the cost of buying a new Digital Radio unit, there are no other costs –
no subscription fees, no messing about with signing up, just tune in.

Q: CAN I RECEIVE DIGITAL RADIO THROUGH MY DIGITAL TV SET TOP BOX?
No. Digital TVs or set-top boxes only receive the digital TV signals not digital radio signals. To receive digital radio, you need a digital radio (DAB+) receiver.

Q: WILL AM RADIO BE SWITCHED OFF SOON?
There are no plans at this stage to switch off AM radio services. As there are an estimated five radio devices per household, listeners must be given time to changeover all of their radio devices before the Federal Government announces the switching off of analogue services.
