Meals on Wheels
Gwen Braga from Queensland Meals on Wheels was thrilled to accept a $5000 cheque from UNITAB and 4BH, the proceeds of Moyd and Loretta’s weekly bet with UNITAB’s Brad Tamer.
With Moyd Kay away in his sick bed, Paul J stepped in to help Loretta present the cheque to Gwen.
The money will help the suburban Meals on Wheels centre continue to provide nutritious meals to the elderly and incapacitated.
The organisation also desperately needs volunteers to help deliver the meals, so if you can assist, just contact a Meals on Wheels centre near you.
Rescue Special Ops
Peter Phelps and Katherine Hicks from Channel 9’s drama series Rescue Special Ops dropped in to see Moyd and Loretta on the 4BH breakfast show.
Three Tenors football concert
Celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the The Three Tenors, the stirring rendition of Nessun Dorma from the concert in Rome on the evening before that 1990 FIFA world cup final.. This was first time Jose Carreras, Placido Domingo and Luciano Pavarotti had ever come together in concert. It was a momentous occasion !
